Alan McKim (John Gregson) is the proud owner of 'Genevieve', a vintage car. His enthusiasm is not shared by his wife, Wendy (Dinah Sheridan), but she is prepared to accompany him on the annual London to Brighton race. But as he tunes up his pride and joy, Ambrose Claverhouse (Kenneth More), an old friend and his girlfriend Rosalind (Kay Kendall), arrives in his veteran car. He makes various jibes about Alan's car which ignites a row between Alan and Wendy. For the McKims and Genevieve, the race turns out to be one disaster after another. (Via Vision Entertainment)

English A nice, funny comedy that revolves around old cars and, in a classic manner, around relationships between men and women. There are actors here who can be funny just with their facial expressions, which helps the film quite a bit because the dialogues are more on the classic, slapstick side, where actors sometimes try a bit too hard to make it funny, even though it's not always the case.
