In the year 2071, the world's energy problems seem solved by a network of cross-dimensional electric-field inductors- "coils" -that extract energy from a seemingly infinite source. Dealing with illegal coils is the job of coil-hating repo man Kyoma, whose run-in with the unique coil android Mira leads the two to form a reluctant partnership. (FUNimation)

If someone asked me what I enjoyed the most from the winter 2016 releases and what was the best experience for me, this would be the first thing that would come to mind. I am going to start with what I enjoyed the most, and that is the opening. For me, it was definitely the best opening of the year, and I immediately had to find the whole thing on YouTube and play it. I liked the rest of the music, too. Another thing that caught my eye is the main male protagonist. Once again, he is a tough guy on the fringe of society with charisma whom I started rooting for from the first moment he appeared. There should be more male protagonists like him. Likewise, the main female protagonist is very interesting and incredibly cute. I liked the setting; it has the right science-fiction vibe, a mysterious organization in power, the underworld, etc. The animation is also really good, especially the boss's office with the sharks. I also liked the pacing, which was brisk and made it a pleasant watch. Even though Dimension W is not objectively the best anime series of the year, it is definitely becoming my favorite. 9/10. ()
