Biography

Bradley Fuller established their production company, Platinum Dunes, with Andrew Form and Michael Bay in 2001, with the goal of creating opportunities for first-time directors to make commercial, high-concept films on modest budgets for a global audience. In 2013, on a $3 million budget, Platinum Dunes produced The Purge, for Universal Pictures, which grossed $34.1 million domestically on its opening weekend.

In 2014, Universal Pictures released the Platinum Dunes-produced Ouija, a horror film based on the popular board game. Paramount Pictures released two films for Platinum Dunes. The first, a live-action remake of the popular comic book series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," and the second, Project Almanac.

In 2012, Platinum Dunes decided to bring its production expertise to television. Its first project, Black Sails, debuted on Starz. Its second project, The Last Ship, debuted on TNT in 2014.

Universal Pictures
