The brilliant Carthaginian general, Hannibal (Victor Mature) despises Rome. Fueled by vengeance, he drives his army of elephants through the treacherous, frozen Alps into Italy, crushing anyone who dared to oppose him. English I think it sold well here, probably because Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are in it, but neither of them has the main role, and Bud is barely recognizable. This is simply a classic historical film that at least in some places tries to be somewhat epic, if nothing else. The work with elephants is nice, but otherwise, it's just too cliché. ()
