English One very pleasant example of how slapstick isn't necessarily just for silent films, but can also work in spoken films. It may be less traditional for Laurel and Hardy, but even when they open their mouths, they're still entertaining because they can sell their characters sonically. Still, the visual sketches lead the way. ()
