In this harrowing true-life adventure, young American Billy Hayes (Brad Davis) is arrested in Turkey after he’s caught smuggling hashish. The opening is quite tedious and I couldn't get hooked at all, but the second half is an iconic atmospheric exhibition. If, God forbid, I ever had to choose which prison to serve a life sentence in, it certainly wouldn't be a Turkish one... ()
Sorry, but I won’t sympathise with a drug smuggler. ()
