Jerboa (Imogen Annesley) is a weresupial on the run from her abusive tribe deep in the Australian outback. Discovered by wannabe film director Donny (Lee Biolos), the two soon fall in love and before long Jerboa has a literal joey in her pouch. When the inter-species lovers are discovered by Professor Harry Beckmeyer (Barry Otto), who has been studying the reclusive weresupials, Jerboa and Donny soon find themselves caught up in a military plot to wipe lycanthropes from the face of the Earth. This is really not a serious film. It doesn't take itself too seriously and might even want to have some fun. But it only succeeds halfway and is more entertaining in the sense that it's terrible trash. On the other hand, the special effects are absolutely awesome and I enjoyed the film a lot in that respect. The series shows that we can expect anything from any film. And therein lies the greatest beauty - at least for now - of the Howling series.
