English Swamp Thing is a series that I immediately noticed after its arrival on HBO. Certainly the subject matter and, above all, the fact that it is a character from DC Comics contributed to this. The reason why I didn't try the series earlier was that they canceled it after the first season, which in itself says something. However, when I thought about preparing for guests at this year's Comic Con, Swamp Thing came back to me. Crystal Reed, who has the lead role and whom I had never heard of before, is coming to Prague. In the end, I have to say that it wasn't a waste of time at all. On the contrary. After a long time, it happened that the pilot episode immediately intrigued me. It intrigued me with an interesting atmosphere in the Louisiana swamps. I also liked that the creators didn't hold back on the effects, so I immediately recalled a few explicit moments from movies like The Fly or The Thing. Yeah, Swamp Thing can be quite disgusting here and there, but that's what makes it even more interesting. Ten episodes is, by today's standards, a higher time commitment, but to be honest, I didn't mind. The story is like a typical Hollywood one, the ending offers an open conclusion, but I think we'll have to leave it where it ended. However, it doesn't matter, the ending was essentially satisfying. And at least I got to know Crystal Reed better, whom I am now looking forward to even more. ()
