The Blind Monkey

Our film follows a year in the life of one family of macaque monkeys. It caught our interest because the youngest child was born blind. Few monkeys that are born blind survive infancy. Even when they're born healthy, 40% of rhesus babies die in their first year. That it has survived 15 months defies all expectations. We have captured a story that we think is unique in natural history television. Ironically, it's a very human story. (official distributor synopsis)
