Plots(1)

From Director Otto Bell and Executive Producer Daisy Ridley, The Eagle Huntress follows Aisholopan, a 13-year-old girl, as she trains to become the first female in twelve generations of her Kazakh family to become an eagle hunter, and rises to the pinnacle of a tradition that has been handed down from father to son for centuries. Set against the breathtaking expanse of the Mongolian steppe, The Eagle Huntress features some of the most awe-inspiring cinematography ever captured in a documentary, giving this intimate tale of a young girl’s quest the dramatic force of an epic narrative film. English 51st KVIFF - yeah, an OK documentary with beautiful cinematography and eye-candy landscapes, but the lives of Mongolian falconers is perhaps too distant to really excite or move me very much. Daisy Ridley’s narration was a bit too much. But yeah, it’s nice. 7/10 ()

English A good documentary, especially in the sense of how well it is filmed. The environment, which is rather unfamiliar to most of us, is filmed here with beautiful cinematography, with some truly breathtaking shots. And yet it's still primarily a film about one girl and her life. That's definitely not the life you have. A beautiful exploration of another place and world. ()
