A story about an Irish widow and how she deals with her family and friends. When Moore Street market-trader Agnes Brown finds her livelihood under threat from a ruthless developer, she and her family embark on a campaign to save her stall, aided as only the Browns will be by a motley troop of blind trainee Ninjas, an alcoholic solicitor, and a barrister with Tourettes Syndrome. I haven't seen the series, and judging by the face on the poster, I expected it to be a total mess. It's not far from that, and the story is quite silly, somewhat in the spirit of Ali G in da House: The Movie. However, the character, the accent, and everything else shape jokes that are occasionally good and even quite clever. I'm saying only at times, but overall, it's something that can decently entertain, even without knowledge of the series.
