Fact: For centuries, people have been disappearing on and around Brown Mountain, North Carolina, USA. Locals believe the disappearances are directly linked with sightings of the unexplained phenomenon known as the "Brown Mountain Lights". Alien Abduction captures the story of the Morris family's experiences while on a camping trip in this remote region. Youngest son Riley sees mysterious lights in the night sky, which he is able to record on his hand held video camera. The family become witnesses to a series of extraordinary and unimaginable events. For found footage enthusiasts, Alien Abduction is probably quite bearable, but for horror lovers, it's just one of many. There is nothing here that is different, at least fundamentally enough to make the film stand out and bring something a little new to the genre. It brings nothing and just dabbles in clichés. I just found myself wanting to know what was going on in the film. But I still see the genre mainly as an option for those who don't have the opportunity to make films otherwise because they don't have enough money. Speaking of which, the special effects aren't bad.

Another unoriginal found-footage. I’m tired of this :( Theoretically, it’s quite effective in some places, but there’s been too many already…
