When talk show host Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapaport (Seth Rogen) celebrate their 1000th episode of 'Skylark Tonight' Aaron voices his concerns over the seemingly trivial content of their programme. When they are informed that the President of North Korea Kim Jong-un (Randall Park) is a fan of the show they prepare themselves for the interview of their lives. Before they can board the plane however, CIA Agent Lacey (Lizzy Caplan) knocks on their door requesting their assistance in a current operation that aims to assassinate Kim Jong-un. When they get to North Korea will Dave and Aaron be able to simply ask their questions or will the thrill of being set an assignment by the CIA be too much to resist? (Sony Pictures Releasing)

English A standard Franco & Rogen comedy, so, if you like their previous movies, you won’t be disappointed. At first, I was a bit put off by all the hype surrounding the movie. Having watched it, I must say that it was absolutely great. It had a great number of absolutely killer moments, be it Eminem's incredible cameo or James Franco’s amazing performance and his hilarious facial expressions. He was clearly enjoying the role of a total dumbass. There were also an incredible number of cultural references, especially to the current pop scene (Haters Gonna Hate), sarcastic remarks about American foreign policy, etc. In short, the authors managed to create a legend, hence the high rating, despite the fact that the movie had perhaps even greater potential. English I had plenty of fun, but This Is the End was much better. Seth Rogen’s style of humour is certainly not the most sophisticated, but his comedies deliver the dialogue exchanges and the faecal jokes in such a smart way that they are very funny and as effective as possible. Sometimes that’s the case here, too, but several times I felt that it was an improv one take. This is the impression I got from the quality of the humour and not a statement that I can substantiate with anything. I also had a problem with James Franco’s character, who at times goes so full-retard to the point that he’s obviously not full-retard. ()

English Another wildly over-the-top, talk-heavy comedy with Seth Rogen and his buddy James Franco. For me, it’s a solid three stars because the humor feels exactly the same as all their other films. I’ll be laughing one minute, then suddenly realize I’m bored for the next ten. That said, the concept is brilliant, I’ve got to give them that. ()

English Very good, any intelligent person can tell that this is just a joke. Seth Rogen and James Franco are a perfect duo and here they prove it again. Great humour, a decent idea, great pace and especially the action and gory ending were very nice. The scene with the tiger was magical for me. This Is The End was crazier, but I had a great time here too. A solid 80%. One of the most controversial films ever. ()

English I couldn’t care less about how it’s shot, or if there’s scatological humor, or how the film is affected by the interplay of light and shadow or whatnot. I just wanted to see something I could have a good laugh at, and I got exactly that. Granted, the jokes are far from sophisticated, I know what kind of humor to expect from Seth Rogen, but I sure laughed. Seth Rogen and James Franco have excellent chemistry together, it's fast-paced and it's fun! ()
