English A pretty well exploited idea (Groundhog Day meets The Others meets Insidious 2) delivered in a very uninteresting manner. I can imagine that a movie with this premise could be atmospheric, terrifying, psychedelic, unpredictable and surprising – ideally all together. Haunter unfortunately is none of that, it’s a non-conflicting, run-of-the-mill genre flick that will not make you regret having spent those 97 minutes of your time, but you won’t want to do it again. It is watchable, despite the presence of the unlikeable Abigail Breslin in the main role, and the occasional chaos (and I’d rather not think too much about the rules of that world). ()

English Haunter isn't an exceptional horror film, but if every horror film were made at least this well, the whole genre would be on a completely different level. Yes, at times it's a bit overdone and it gets a bit tangled up unnecessarily because the film works well and holds the viewer's attention. As a result, you get to watch something that will entertain you and that horror fans will enjoy, because it can definitely give you chills now and then. ()
