Ben Stiller is pretty good at picking his movies. This one initially focuses on how one couple in their forties manages their minor crisis, but eventually delves into the story of an artist who has a clear vision of the world, which diverges from how the world actually is and what he truly desires. It was good, but it didn't blow me away. ()
Noah Baumbach nails the intergenerational comedy with this film. The story revolves around two couples: Naomi Watts and Ben Stiller representing the older generation, and Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried representing the young go-getters. Both pairs have their moments of wisdom and moments of nonsense, but it didn't bother me at all. Seeing these four actors together was a treat, especially Ben and Amanda, who truly stole the show. ()
