Thomas, a father in his fifties, returns by chance to the town where he grew up. He collapses and wakes up forty years earlier in the body of his teenage self. Given the theme of the film, I was expecting a bit more creativity in the direction. The sense of melancholy and nostalgia is nicely captured, which is something I always appreciate in films like this. However, as I watched, it felt a bit too ordinary, and the ending leaves a lot to interpretation. Still, it’s a pleasant Belgian film—just not particularly memorable.
