English The Amityville Asylum should have a pretty good premise, at least to create a strong atmosphere that grips you and keeps you scared throughout. But that would require a more capable filmmaker. The visuals and sound don't come together in the right synergistic connection here, the editing doesn't work, and on top of that, there are actors whose performances are... well, not good. Let's not be too harsh. The tie-in to the mythology is weak, but within the series, it's essentially normal and wouldn't be such a bother. Rather, the problem is that the revelation isn't even interesting and is simply expected. ()
