English Verso is clearly an expensive action thriller from countries not exactly known for this genre. Visually, it looks slick and polished, with the use of filters giving it that big-budget feel, which is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, the story is completely average and forgettable, and the acting is painfully wooden. I haven’t seen such stiff performances in a high-budget movie in a long time. It’s probably the main reason why this film has such low ratings, because from a technical standpoint, it wasn’t that bad. ()
