An average comedy, I can't see it any other way. Unfortunately, I don't like the kind of edgy humor that has you plumbing the depths of vulgarity and perversity, and overall Mr. Smith's sense of humor just doesn't suit me. The comedic family really resonates with me, especially because there are actors here whom you recognize from previous Smith films. I haven't been a big fan of Rogen lately, but here he's tolerable. The romantic aspect bothers me, but otherwise, the humor works very well. Some scenes are a total blast and you can't get them out of your head. (23/03/2015)

This is the best romantic comedy the porn world has to offer! The self-projection also worked, so I laughed, I was touched, and I became a fan. That's the way it's supposed to be. Even porn is art, it just has to be appreciated. But otherwise, it's a "traditional" Kevin Smith romance that breathes on the back of Chasing Amy. It’s definitely not the weakest Smith film, just a little different, or maybe a little more commercial, but it’s still its own, honest, and above all funny. And Elizabeth Banks is an angel. How is it that in just a few moments of a single movie, Kevin Smith strikes the romantic chord in our hearts stronger than all of the Julia Robertses and Meg Ryans put together?
