Richie Donovan is a professional thief whose luck has just ran out. The only survivor from a heist that goes terribly wrong Richie is now stuck on the unused 13th floor of a Russian Highrise, left to contend with twin serial killers, insane hostages, and the real possibility of a horrible death. You'd think this was as bad as it could get but for Richie to escape with his life he will have to pull a hostage's ear off, survive a stabbing from the partner he thought was dead, share a kiss under a pile of dead bodies, and last but not least, somehow turn a rat into a makeshift bomb. And you thought you were unlucky? (Eagle Entertainment)

The bizarre showdown on the upper floor of a Moscow skyscraper has two distinct halves. The first half, dominated by Englishman Michel Galabru with a sawed-off shotgun and a tragicomic Russian accent, is so sluggish it’s practically a call for an early trip to the locker room. When Jaime Murray strips off her jersey in the 47th minute and the horrible long-haired figure starts writing his bloody herbal concoction, things get a bit more lively. However, this doesn’t change the fact that the playmaker Dorff is desperately looking towards the bench, hoping they’ll pull him off the field. ()
Superb horror comedy, it didn’t bore me for a second. Don’t be fooled by the beginning that looks more crime drama than horror, because what follows after a few minutes is certainly horror. A stylish killer, fun characters and murders, and lots of blood. And the ending, with blood almost flowing out the screen, is supported by a music score that will leave a smile on your face for a long time. Recommended. ()
