English I no longer believed that in a new film I would see a scene where the hero is losing a fight, remembers the words of a loved one, and wins. Here you can see that four times!!!! I shook my head in disbelief many times over the utter and overall stupidity of the film, but between that I had more fun than I expected. Tekken is basically a very undemanding mind breather, it wasn’t that bad (though I don’t know the game). ()

English I never played the game and I also wasn’t planning on watching the movie. But on a rainy morning, with a slight hangover, I found it to be a perfectly adequate palliative. When the anti-system rebellion started, I was surprised that the runtime was long past the halfway mark. True, the editing is a tragedy, and arena fights have an unattainable dimension in the company of Yuri Boyka, but... whatever, I had a solid time with it. ()

English A few nice fights are pretty much all this film has to offer. It tries to be very intense, but in the end, there's not much for us to care about. The script is absolutely unengaging, and the main character is basically defeated every time, only to suddenly find enough strength to win in the end. I haven't played the game, and this film certainly doesn’t give me a reason to start. ()
