In the 12th Century, Mongolian warlord Temujin (John Wayne, The Searchers) is a man of action over words. A respected warrior, destined to be crowned the great leader Genghis Khan, he is haunted by the violent loss of his father and engages in heated battle against the rival tribe responsible for his death. But on the home front, life is equally complicated as Temujin’s interest is taken by red-haired Tartar prisoner Bortai (Susan Hayward, I Want to Live!). Captured in a raid she becomes both a welcome distraction and a bargaining chip for Temujin, who is forced to look deep into his heart for the first time in his life. (Umbrella Entertainment)

English If this is the movie that jeopardized John Wayne's health and caused him cancer, it's a great pity that it wasn't a higher-quality film. But the very idea of John playing a Mongolian warrior and conqueror is just weird in itself. The film is not that bad; there are good action scenes, but it's too lengthy, and it’s a pseudo-epic film that doesn't entertain much. ()
