I was really looking forward to this one... I generally love Polish films and series, but occasionally there's a dud. I haven't been lucky lately — first, I suffered through Forst, and today I "treated" myself to this oddity. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. The script was incredibly weak, and the only actor I enjoyed was Maciej Stuhr. I expect to laugh during a comedy, and I only managed that during the first Zidan scene. Otherwise, it felt like a bizarre, dysfunctional mix of Gosford Park, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, and a few other titles. It seems the creators got a bit carried away. / Lesson learned: A patent is a patent, but mithril is mithril. ()
