English A gritty and quality gangster film with an A-list cast lead by Sean Penn, Ed Harris and Gary Oldman. It really fascinates me how every thriller from the 90s has a packed cast, almost always with at least three actors, and nowadays we are happy to have one A-list actor, which is a shame. The story is rather predictable, we don't get too many twists and turns, but it's properly gritty, the atmosphere of Hell's Kitchen is properly grim, and the film flows nicely, so I can recommend it. 75% ()
