The world's most notorious doll, Chucky, meets his match--in more ways than one when his ex-girlfriend Tiffany embarks on a mission to get him back into her life so that they can wed. For better or for worse, Chucky and Tiffany will be a matched set if they ever get back into human bodies. To do this, they must go to Hackensack, New Jersey, exhume Chucky's human body, recover the soul transferring amulet that was buried along with it, and find a couple of compatible body donors. Enter teenage newlyweds Jesse and Jade, two young lovers-on-the-lam who become the evil duo's unwitting accomplices. The wedding party hits the highway and what ensues is a road trip filled with murder, music, mayhem, love and betrayal. (official distributor synopsis)

English It’s not as much fun as the fifth film in the series, which is much more comedic, while this one was still too romantic. Overall, however, I really enjoyed Jennifer Tilly and Alexis Arquette as the emo boy, as well as Kathy Najimy's classic maid, and Gordon Michael Woolvett and Katherine Heigl reminded me that a few years after Bride of Chucky, they landed roles in the series most important to them - Andromeda and Grey's Anatomy. The references to Murder, She Wrote and Bride of Frankenstein during Tiff’s birth were, of course, tender. "I don't know, what does Martha Stewart do?" ()

English The idea of a killer doll is pretty cool, however, I did not really enjoy this movie particularly. However, the scene with the ripping out of the piercing did amuse me quite a bit, that is for sure. :) ()

English After Bride of Chucky, I'm quite curious about how Don Mancini handled the fifth film, especially since the sixth one didn't turn out so well. That doesn't change the fact that there's still plenty to see in this series, and it's not just about the sex and bickering of two dolls, although that's certainly a great bit of spice in this piece. This film simply entertained me, and it stands out especially compared to the second and third installments. ()
