Biography
Imogen Poots is an actress who challenges herself in each new role, continuing to evolve her body of work with every project she takes on. Since her breakthrough performance in Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's critically acclaimed horror film 28 Weeks Later, Poots has continued to impress critics and audiences alike. She was recently seen in Yaron Zilberman's well-reviewed drama A Late Quartet, alongside Christopher Walken, Catherine Keener and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Poots can be seen in Need for Speed, directed by Scott Waugh and co-starring Dominic Cooper and Aaron Paul. Poots plays a savvy car dealer who conspires with the wealthy to connect them with their supercharged dream cars.
Poots worked on Peter Bogdanovich's comedy Squirrels to the Nuts, produced by Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach. Starring opposite Owen Wilson's anxious director character, Poots plays the prostitute-turned-theater-star with whom he falls in love. The supporting cast includes Jennifer Aniston, Will Forte and Lucy Punch.
Other film projects include Terrence Malick's romantic drama Knight of Cups, with Christian Bale, Natalie Portman and Cate Blanchett; John Ridley's Jimi Hendrix biopic All Is by My Side, co-starring André Benjamin and Hayley Atwell; and Pascal Chaumeil's dramedy A Long Way Down, with Aaron Paul, Rosamund Pike, Pierce Brosnan and Toni Collette.
Poots can be seen in Todd Field's Beautiful Ruins. Based on the Jess Walter bestseller, the story follows an American ingénue who travels to Italy in 1962 during the production of a major Hollywood film. Also Strange But True, a noir thriller to be directed by Alex and David Pastor, scripted by Eric Garcia. Based on the bestselling novel by John Searles, the film co-stars Bill Paxton, Melissa Leo and Evan Peters.

Television credits include the BBC's "Fanny Knight" and "Christopher and His Kind" as well as ITV's "Bouquet of Barbed Wire."
