Biography (1)

After his career as a child radio, vaudeville, and movie star waned, Richard Quine – while still under contract at MGM – was hired to direct Leather Gloves (1948) for Columbia Pictures. The film was so successful that Columbia offered him a long-term contract – a collaboration that lasted throughout the 1950s. During this time, Quine frequently collaborated with Blake Edwards.
